The Augusta community's campaign for the Fisher House for the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center's Active Duty Rehab Unit is complete. Donations exceeded $1.8 million, and the VA broke ground on the 20 suite home on December 9th, 2009. You can still support Augusta's first Fisher House at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. Marriage Enrichment Workshops/Staying a Couple After Combat
To support marriage retreats for combat-returned veterans conducted in collaboration with the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center chaplains program, you can make a contribution directly to support lodging and food for overnight retreats for at-risk couples. To do so, note in your letter the contribution is to support the Chaplains' Marriage Enrichment Workshops. Eisenhower AMC consistently ranks in the top three military treatment facilities as a recipient of medical evacuees from the Global War on Terror.
